UT Dallas' Talent Development team provides resources and training for UTD employees throughout the year.
We also provide these services to UTD’s schools and departments to create a positive environment where faculty and staff can achieve their full potential. We are here to help employees develop in their current roles and prepare for future opportunities.

Talent Development Classes
We support the mission of UT Dallas by providing a variety of training and educational activities, classes and seminars for University faculty and staff in both a general UTD forum, as well as developing special training activities for individual workgroups and departments. Most of our classes will be offered live; however, our goal is to enhance training opportunities through viable online programs. To maintain employee safety and abide by COVID 19 regulations, UT Dallas Talent Development is currently hosting all trainings virtually through Microsoft Teams.

Our talent development and employee relations team is willing to help departments and workgroups reach their goals and solve organizational problems. The focus is to assist employees and groups to build teams and develop new skills in order to not only reach goals but to develop the University as we move into the future.
The consulting team can offer a range of services, including:

We can also provide an assortment of assessments (Strength Finders, DISC, Emotional Intelligence, communication styles, leadership styles, conflict style, etc.) to help tailor training for specific groups and departments. The team can also provide an assessment of various workgroups and departments to help them develop clearer/cleaner working relationships and processes.
Coaching and Mentoring
The majority of our learning in our jobs and career occurs through on-the-job training and is done by more experienced managers, supervisors, and co-workers. Our team can provide one-on-one and group sessions to help with the general competencies needed to improve work performance and enhance careers. We also provide individualized training to others who would like to be more proficient in their ability to mentor and coach others.
