Welcome to the University of Texas at Dallas!
One of your first experiences as a new UTD employee will be to attend our New Employee Orientation. The goal of New Employee Orientation is to help you become more knowledgeable about UT Dallas and its rich history.
You will be introduced to key people within our organization and learn about the policies and procedures that determine how we operate. In addition, we will provide an overview of the benefits offered at UT Dallas and provide tools that you can use to find answers as you begin your time as a member of the UT Dallas family.
To maintain employee safety and abide by COVID 19 regulations, UT Dallas Talent Development is currently hosting all sessions of New Employee Orientation virtually through Microsoft Teams. Invitations to join the Microsoft Teams meeting will be sent to new employees via email 4 to 5 days prior to their orientation date.
Dates and Times
New Employee Orientation is usually scheduled on the first, third, and fifth Tuesday of the month. It may be offered on a different day of the week if the University is closed on a Tuesday. Orientation begins at 9 a.m. and runs until approximately 5 p.m., with a 1-hour break for lunch.
Registration for new staff is not necessary. New employees will scheduled to attend the orientation date closest to, but not prior than, their start date. More information about orientation, including links to join the virtual meeting in Microsoft Teams, will be sent to employees 4 to 5 days prior to orientation. If you have any questions, please contact Jillian McNally.
