About Spotlight on Staff
The BRIGHT Leaders platform understands the complex village it takes to make our University work and respects the role of all employees and positions. With this in mind, we invite you to join us for the Spotlight on Staff (SOS) series.
The SOS series spotlights the great work that our staff do behind the scenes of UTD schools and divisions. This series gives our campus community an opportunity to find out more about how each featured department contributes in serving our campus needs.
Featured groups will share about the role their department plays at UTD, the services they provide to the UTD community, and more about the individual employees that make up the department or unit. Through the SOS series, attendees will also have the opportunity to get to know other professionals and build a network of resources.
Each SOS session will look a bit different, as featured departments and units put their own unique spin on how they present. The sessions aim to answer some of the questions listed below.
- What do you want the UTD community to know about your team? What are some things about your department or division that are important to “spotlight?”
- Why is your department or unit essential to UTD?
- What services do you provide and how do they contribute to the success of our faculty, staff and students?
- Who are the appropriate individuals or teams to contact based on campus needs?
- Who are the members of your department?
