The Deer Oaks Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a free and confidential service provided for all UTD employees, their dependents, and household members 24 hours a day, 7 days per week.
Accessing EAP Services
Members may access the EAP by calling the toll-free Helpline number, using the iConnectYou App, or instant messaging with a work-life consultant through the online instant messaging system.

Deer Oaks EAP also offers monthly newsletters for employees and supervisors who subscribe to their email list online.
This program offers a wide variety of counseling, referrals, and consultation services which can be accessed 24/7, and are all designed to assist employees and their families in resolving work and life issues in order to live happier, healthier, more balanced lives. The program offers up to 6 free counseling visits and a multitude of work/life services.
All employees (regardless of benefits eligibility or enrollment) and their household members, and children away at college may access the EAP services. This includes all graduate student employees (RAs, TAs and GAs).
Retirees and separated employees may access services within 6 months of their date of retirement or separation from the University.

Work/Life Services
Today’s workforce manages many obligations in addition to work such as parenting, personal commitments, household responsibilities and other tasks that make life demanding. To help ease daily living stresses, Deer Oaks offers a multitude of work/life services including Legal and Financial guidance, Child and Elder Care information, Concierge Services, a Safe Ride Program, and various training options.
