The UT Dallas Employee Wellness Program offers several services and resources to faculty and staff to support the well-being of employees, retirees and their family members.

Employees are encouraged to participate in campus wellness events throughout the year as well as the UT System Living Well program and utilize additional programs, tools, and resources that will enable employees to take charge of their own physical, mental, emotional and financial well-being.

Employee Assistance Program
The UT Dallas Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is provided by Deer Oaks and can help employees resolve problems that affect their personal life or job performance. EAP provides confidential counseling and consultation services, crisis intervention, referrals, training programs, and more. To learn more, log in online using “utdallas” for the username and password.
Financial
UT System provides many resources to help employees learn about personal finances and how to plan for retirement. There are five quality retirement providers with which you can invest your ORP, UTSaver TSA and UTSaver DCP contributions. You may select one or all five, depending on your investment and service needs.

Fitness
BlueCross BlueShield Fitness Program
UT SELECT offers a fitness program through BlueCross BlueShield of Texas (BCBSTX). This program has discounts for several gyms throughout the state. For more information, visit Blue Access for Members, and select the icon for the fitness program.
University Recreation Centers
The SPN Wellness Center has hours that are dedicated to faculty and staff workouts. It features free weights, circuit training machines and cardio machines, plus space for stretching and exercise classes. Employees can access the SPN Wellness Center at no cost, but you will need to purchase a Faculty/Staff Membership to access Rec Center West and the indoor and outdoor facilities at the main University Recreation Activity Center.
Physical Activity Challenges
Team up with your colleagues for physical activity and wellness challenges every spring and fall through the UT System Living Well program. In addition, sign up to join the UT Dallas team for the annual Richardson Corporate Challenge.
Health Promotions
Health screenings, i.e. mobile mammography and flu shot clinics, are provided to employees throughout the year at no cost. Lunch and learns that are focused on health promotion and education are offered to increase awareness of disease prevention. Take advantage of the onsite screenings to reduce time off and the educational seminars to stay healthy!

Offered by BlueCross BlueShield of Texas (BCBSTX) in partnership with MD Live, virtual visits by a licensed medical provider are available for non-emergency medical issues, behavioral health and psychological health needs. Visits are available on your computer, tablet or smartphone for a $0 copay.
