Fall Wellness Challenge: Walktober

Walktober is a fun and inspiring way to take advantage of autumn’s cool temperatures and spectacular views as you step out and step up to better health. Log your steps or exercise minutes through the mobile app or manually to tour vibrant landscapes and earn colorful leaves. Goal is to get at least 6,000 steps or 30 minutes of exercise daily and earn 20 leaves in the 4-week challenge. There will be the option of earning an extra point on Thrive Thursdays for those participating on a team. UTD will have prizes for the top 3 participants. Let’s get moving and help UTD win the Traveling Trophy 😊
Goal and Points: The goal is to earn 20 leaves in the 4-week challenge. (1 leaf a day, 5 days a week)
Points
- 6,000-7,999 steps = Red leaf (3 points)
- 8,000-9,999 steps = Orange leaf (4 points)
- 10,000+ steps = Gold leaf (5 points)
Activities: Walktober is a step and physical activity challenge. Participants can enter exercise minutes, which will be converted into steps.
Thrive Thursday
For teams, there will be the option of earning an extra point on Thrive Thursdays.
You don’t have to wear a tracking device to record steps — link the Apple Health app or enter in your activity and exercise minutes, then the Step Converter automatically adjusts them.
