Reminder: Annual Benefits Enrollment Ends on Monday, July 31
The 2023-2024 Annual Enrollment period will end at midnight, Monday, July 31. Benefits-eligible employees, RA/TA/GAs and retirees who want to enroll in or change their insurance benefits elections must do so before the deadline. Review the highlights of benefits changes for plan year 2023-2024.
Review your current benefits and enroll for 2023-2024 through My UT Benefits using your UT Dallas NetID and password. To get the best experience during your enrollment, see the supported browser information. Internet Explorer 11 and Edge Legacy are no longer supported. For technical assistance with login or website navigation, please call My UT Benefits Support at 844-870-0044 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Central. You also may enroll using the Benefitplace App via Google Play and App Store. The company code is UTDALLAS. You must enroll before midnight of July 31. If you do not make any annual enrollment changes, your 2022-2023 coverage will roll over except the UT FLEX. According to the Internal Revenue Service guidelines, you must re-elect UT FLEX each plan year.
The UT Dallas Virtual Annual Enrollment & Benefits Fair website is still open. You will be able to access the site after July 31. You can find benefits information and stroll through the Benefits Brochure (pdf) to help you select the benefits that best fit you and/or your family. This website contains all the benefits program information that you may need to review during and beyond the annual enrollment period.
If you experience a life event change (i.e., marriage, divorce, birth of a child, etc.) in July, you can make changes to your benefits within 31 days from the date of the event at My UT Benefits. Log in to My UT Benefits, select “Enroll Now.” Then select “Change your current benefits” from the menu bar. Then complete the Life Event page. Then follow the online instructions. If your life event date occurs in August, you will need to complete and sign the UT Benefits Enrollment/Change Application Form and email it to benefits@utdallas.edu within 31 days of the event date.
New hires and newly benefits-eligible employees have 31 days to enroll from their start date or benefits-eligible date. Employees who are hired or become benefits-eligible between July 1 and Aug. 31 may have to complete dual enrollment (2022-2023 and 2023-2024). The choices you make for your initial new hire or newly eligible benefits for the plan year 2022-2023 may impact your 2023-2024 benefits. You must first enroll in your 2022-2023 new hire benefit election and then enroll for your 2023-2024 benefits.
Online enrollment in UT FLEX flexible spending plans is disabled during the months of July and August. If you wish to enroll in UT FLEX for the current plan year ending Aug. 31, you will need to complete and sign the UT Benefits Enrollment/Change Application Form and email it to benefits@utdallas.edu within 31 days of the event date.
In most cases, your benefits selections for the 2023-2024 plan year will take effect on Sept. 1, and will be reflected on your Oct. 2 paycheck for your review. You must contact the Office of Human Resources – Employee Benefits Services by Oct. 31 to report any clerical or administrative error.
